Buckle Shoes, Striped Socks, Yellow Slide
April 5, 2007A note on the composition of this shot ~ I would like to say that I carefully planned to have this shot as is, revealing just the legs anticipating a whole child whizzing down the slide (I love the plastic yellow of this slide) with the nicely blurred background revealing more children happily playing on the other playground equipment. I would like to, but the reality is that I am still getting used to the discrepancy between what I see in the viewfinder and what appears on the film with this particular camera! Having said that, if I did get what I thought I was getting I'm sure this image wouldn't have been half as interesting! It's all part of the fun of shooting with plastic fantastics!

bless your heart! ;-) i don't know of anyone who could say in all honesty that they "planned it that way" with a plastic camera. i'm happy the way this turned out. it sort of inspires me to go out on an overcast day... well, maybe ;-)

Thanks Meredith! I really like using the Kodak Vivid Colour film for a change sometimes, as it really comes into it's own with shots like this.

Ooooh! I love the yellow slide too! Composition is right on, and makes me want to play with the kids! Great one.

Thanks Becky! I always feel like playing on the playground equipment too, but the "other kids" always look at me funny (besides I might break something, either the equipment or my bones!)
